23. Mastering the Power of Choice and Defeating the Guilt Trap

Gabby Rosely Season 2 Episode 8

How often do you think about what you should be doing instead of what you are doing in the moment?

How often do you feel guilty about the choices you make, even though you continue to make them?

In today's Crucial Conversation, we are going to break down the decision making process, dissect the nature of "right" vs. "wrong", and learn how to escape the guilt trap and maintain peace of mind.

Our lives are a compilation of our choices. And, I hate to break it to you, but not every choice you are going to make is going to be what you consider a "good" one, and you are going to have to learn to live with that.

If you make a choice to do or not to do something, the least that you can do for yourself is embrace your decision. If you CHOSE it, what is the point in beating yourself up about it? Whether it was "right" or "wrong", you did it, and now there is no going back.

So, how do we escape the guilt, or the "could haves", "would haves", & "should haves"?

The answers to these questions, and actionable steps to take to defeat this negative thought loop trap, are contained in today's Crucial Conversation.
